It would be surprising to most the amount of time and detail it takes to crack the glass correctly then lay out every single piece with a specific goal in mind.
Many others just slap the glass on hap hazardly and it shows in the finished product.

If done right you end up with a glowing flash from the lure head that shines and shimmers in all direction. Picture a bunch of scale sinking after a bait gets attacked. Predators instinctually are attracted to these scales as it could be a sign of a bait ball or injured fish.
