We left Ala Wai boat harbor at 6am and headed straight out. The plan for today was to head to HH buoy and see if there was anything there. Just coming off the ledge into deeper water the long rigger smashes down and we get a nice Hebi ( short nose spear fish). About half way to our 18 miles destination we take a double Ono followed by a Mahi and a Ono. Must have had a rubbish that we couldn't see or was under water. By the way the water was smoking rough on this day. We get to HH but no one is home. The charter is happy with the fish we have caught so far so we turn down sea and work our way picking off a few more Mahi's on the way in.
One greedy Mahi ate our 12" Ante invert but the other fish were biting 6"and 7" lures and we got a couple Mahi on bait.
