The Back Story
Day one of the 2014 Ahi Fever tournament ended and we caught nothing.
Tournament ended at 5 but we were used to fishing until dark so we were still out there trying to catch an Ahi.
Out on the 1000 fathom line as the sun was going down we had our first bite of the day.
Not an ahi and to make it worse this deep water ono wrecked the skirts on my best blue/salmon lure.
That night I had to scavenge skirts from other lures to reskirt my blue/salmon. ( this is why I’m an advocate for back up lures). That night we also found out a friend had caught a couple ahi where we got our ono so we went there on day 2.
We spent the whole day mowing the lawn there with no bites until about 1 hour before stop fishing we finally took a double.
My uncles general lure and my blue/salmon was on. We ended up loosing the one on my uncles lure but getting the other.
We blasted to the scales to beat the stop fishing deadline and that fish got us the 2nd largest ahi of the 2014 Ahi Fever tournament.
To be clear that lure was a 9" Moke but I know a lot of you like to run 7" lures so we are offering it here. I'm sure this one will kill for you.
7" Pau Hana bullet will run just below the surface then come up to skitter along top like a fleeing flying fish. Easy to pull from any position, this one will take its share of all species.
The Invert runs straight with a small pop, deep dive and a heavy trail of smoke. The invert shape runs well in all positions and can handle rough conditions or high speed.
Head length: 2" head weight: 3 oz. total length: 8"
** We cannot guarantee 100% availability of the skirts pictured at the time of your order. In the event we are out of stock of the skirt in the picture, we will make every effort to match it with an identical color of another brand or similar color and style.
