9” Moke Series: Purple/Silver

Purple/silver is one is the key pieces dropping this Wednesday. Like many of the combo we pick to produce this one has a name. Much like ice blue, blue/salmon, or milky most experienced fishers know exactly what you are talking about when you say you got bite of Purple/silver. 

This one is especially effective in the early mornings, late afternoons, or cloudy days. One year there was a lot of fish around but not a lot of guys were getting bites but we got the word that purple/silver was the color. 

Tons of boats were out that day and there was a bunch of guys from our group so the plan was to spread out a little to start the day and help each other zero in on the bite. 

It was a cloudy morning as we slowly walked into the area. We were sliding down and out in slick calm seas when the port corner slammed down. My cousin and I whipped our heads around to see a big hole in the water where the Ahi had exploded on our purple/silver bullet. 

That days bite only happened in the morning and all of our crew expect one guy got Ahi on purple/silver. Our one friend didn’t get an Ahi because a big marlin bit his purple/silver and by the time he landed it the ahi bite was done.
