I met Lon when I just started making lures. He was working at Naoki's gyotaku shop and I would go there often because I was heavily into spearfishing. The shop always had a tray of trolling heads there and we would talk fishing and diving.
I think we both had just started making lures at that time which was a long time ago. What I know is that Lon has put many years into his craft and it show. Lon makes solid and technically sound lures with a more traditional feel.
As far as I know he was the first one to do the Disco insert which I why I was stoked that he was interested in adding them to the Tsutomu store.
Lon is the type of guy who does what he does the right way. He takes his time and puts the type of effort that is required to make a consistent product that produces great results.
